Overview
Options Tracker is a portfolio tracking and analysis application. It does not place trades or provide brokerage execution. This policy explains the information the app collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We collect the email address used to create and access your account, an internal user identifier, and the options portfolio information you choose to save. Portfolio information may include symbols, option type, strike price, expiration, contract quantity, average cost, current mark, and private notes you enter.
How we use information
We use account information to authenticate you and keep your saved portfolio separated from other users. We use portfolio information only to provide app functionality such as portfolio tracking, profit-and-loss calculations, expiration scenarios, payoff analysis, risk calculations, and related decision-support tools.
Market-data services
When you request market information, the app may send a stock symbol or option-market request to third-party market-data providers, including Alpaca. Your Options Tracker login credentials and saved portfolio records are not provided to Alpaca as part of these market-data requests.
Service providers
Options Tracker relies on service providers for hosting, database storage, authentication, application infrastructure, and market data. These providers may process information only as needed to operate the app and its requested features.
Advertising, tracking, and sale of data
Options Tracker does not sell your personal information. We do not use your email address, portfolio information, private notes, or user identifier for cross-app or cross-website tracking, and the current version does not use third-party advertising.
Data retention and deletion
Saved portfolio information remains associated with your account until you delete individual positions, erase your portfolio, or delete your account. Signed-in users can initiate permanent account deletion directly in the app from Account & Privacy. Account deletion removes the account, saved positions, private notes, password record, and active sessions. Some limited records may be retained when required for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or operational purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account and portfolio information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their account credentials and devices.
Children
Options Tracker is a general financial-analysis utility and is not designed as a children’s app. We do not knowingly build profiles for advertising or tracking purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app features, service providers, or privacy practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
